Mr. T. Harish Rao, the Telangana Health Minister, asked people of the State not to go to private hospitals for treatment.
On the 14th of March, Monday, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader said, the K. Chandrashekar Rao Government had made efforts to enhance the medical infrastructure in the State. With the enhanced medical facilities at the State-run hospitals, the citizens of Telangana do not need to go to private hospitals in Telangana for their treatment.
The statement of the Telangana Minister came during an event at Siddipet, Telangana. During the event, Mr. T. Harish Rao distributed Chief Minister Relief Fund (CMRF) cheques of a total of Rs. 77,25,000 each to 193 people in Siddipet. After giving the cheque, the Health Minister urged beneficiaries to deposit the amount directly to the bank accounts, immediately,
Furthermore, according to the Health Minister, approximately 4,780 people were given CMRF cheques worth approximately Rs. 20 crore in Siddipet alone, till date.
After distributing the cheques, Mr. T. Harish Rao said, “We brought dialysis services to the area, and will soon bring cardiac care which would relieve people of going to private hospitals like Yashoda or KIMS.” He further said that the Siddipet residents shouldn’t spend money on private hospitals when the Siddipet government hospital can provide 52 kinds of tests all for free.
The Telangana Minister said, “Blood tests, ultrasound scans or CAT scans- you can get them all done for free at the Government hospital right here in Siddipet.”
Notably, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi government is working towards the growth and development of the medical infrastructure in the State.
