The Telangana Medical department, on the night of the 9th of August, released a media bulletin regarding the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases.
According to the Telangana Health Department’s bulletin, 1,256 new cases with 10 new fatalities of the COVID-19 infection.
Of the total 1,256 cases, 63 from Adilabad,7 from Bhadradri, 389 from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) 13 from Jagtial, 20 from Jangaon, 6 from Bhuplapally, 14 from Gadwal, 8 from Kamareddy, 73 from Karimnagar, 28 from Khammam, 21 from Mahabubnagar, 19 from Mahabubabad, 11 from Mancherial, 9 from Medak, 34 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 3 from Mulugu, 38 from Nagarkurnool, 58 from Nalgonda, 12 from Narayanpet, 19 from Nirmal, 33 from Nizamabad, 23 from Peddapalli, 31 from Siricilla, 86 from Rangareddy, 74 from Sangareddy, 45 from Siddipet, 20 from Suryapet, 6 from Vikarabad, 12 from Wanaparthy, 11 from Warangal Rural, 67 from Warangal Urban and 3 from Yadadri Bhongir.
Till the 10th of August, this is the 10thh consecutive day with a spike with more than 1,000 cases.
On the morning of the 7th of August, Telangana reported 2,207 new cases of the COVID-19 infection and on the 8th of August, 2,256 cases were registered in a day.
On the 10th of August, with 1,256 new cases, the total reached to 80,751 cases, with 10 new fatalities, the total stands at 637. In addition, with 1,587 total recovered cases reported till date are 57,586.
With these updates, Telangana has 80,751 positive cases, of which 22,528 are active cases, 57,586 are recovered/discharged cases and 637 deceased.
Out of the 22,528 patients, 15,789 patients are under home isolation and 6,739 are in institutional care.
Meanwhile, the Telangana Health authorities conducted 11,609 tests till the night of the 9th of August.
Of the total 11,609 tests, COVID-19 results of 1,700 samples are pending.
So far, 6,24,840 samples have been tested for the Novel Coronavirus infection in Telangana.
With the everyday spike in the Novel Coronavirus cases, the recovery rate in Telangana is now reduced to 71.31 % from the previous 71.10 %.
In addition, mortality rate is 0.80% and growth rate to 2.70 % from the previous 2.90%.
