On the 6th of October, Telangana has 2,02,594 cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
In the latest media bulletin released by the Health Department, Telangana recorded 1,983 new COVID-19 infections with 10 fatalities.
19 were from Adilabad, 85 from Bhadradri, 292 from areas under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) 44 from Jagtial, 25 from Jangaon, 26 from Bhupalpally, 22 from Gadwal and 56 from Kamareddy.
The remaining cases are from 109 from Karimnagar, 117 from Khammam, 17 from Komarambheem Asifabad, 23 from Mahabubnagar, 40 from Mahabubabad, 27 from Mancherial, 25 from Medak, 145 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 23 from Mulugu, 24 from Nagarkurnool, 105 from Nalgonda, 14 from Narayanpet, 22 from Nirmal, 62 from Nizamabad, 40 from Peddapalli, 44 from Siricilla, 187 from Rangareddy, 26 from Sangareddy, 89 each from Siddipet, 75 from Suryapet, 25 from Vikarabad, 39 from Wanaparthy, 24 from Warangal Rural, 75 from Warangal Urban and 37 from Yadadri Bhongir.
While new cases reduced to 2,000, the number of recoveries recorded stood at 2,381.
With these updates, Telangana has 2,02,594 positive cases, of which 26,644 active cases, 1,74,769 recovered/discharged cases and 1,181 deceased.
Meanwhile, in the past 24 hours, the Telangana Health Department conducted 50,598 COVID-19 tests. Results of 858 samples are awaited.
So far, a total of 32, 92, 195 COVID-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 2, 02, 594 have tested positive and 1, 74, 769 persons have recovered.
In addition Telangana has 86.26 % recovery rate of COVID-19.
