The Telangana Health Department, on the 6th of August, confirmed 2,092 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Of the total 2,092 new positive cases, 17 were from Adilabad, 36 from Bhadradri, 535 from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation ( GHMC.)

In addition, with 13 new fatalities, Telangana reported 589 deaths till the 6th of August. A total of 1,289 people recovered in the past 24 hours.
With these updates, Telangana reported 73,050 positive cases, 20,358 active cases, 52,103 recovered/discharged cases and 589 deaths.
Of the total 20,358 positive cases, 13,793 persons are under home isolation while 6,565 are in institutional care.
The State conducted 21,354 sample tests in the past 24 hours. With this, the total sample tests till date to 5,43,489. Of the total 1,550 sample tests are awaited.
With the everyday spike in the Novel Coronavirus cases, the recovery rate in Telangana is now 71.30 % from the previous 71.17 %.
In addition, mortality rate is 0.80% and growth rate reduced to 2.90 % from yesterday’s (the 5th of August) 3.10 %.
