On the evening of the 23rdof July, the Telangana Health Department released a media bulletin and updates about the Wuhan virus cases (Novel Coronavirus) situation in Telangana.
The State’s single day COVID-19 cases are now below 1,000 with 643 new cases.
In the past 24 hours, Telangana reported 643 new cases, 4 fatalities and 767 recoveries from the deadly virus. With this, Telangana now has 6,40,012 positive cases, of which 9,729 are active cases, 6,26,505 are recovered/discharged cases and 3,778 are deceased.
The new cases were confirmed after conducting COVID-19 tests of 1,20,530 samples, taking the cumulative total to 2.11 crores (2,11,04,249) till date.
According to sources, the highest number of cases have been reported from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) region, areas of Khammam district, Rangareddy and Nalgonda. The GHMC region reported the highest number of COVID-19 (77) cases in the past 24 hours. The single day Wuhan virus cases in other districts were below 50.
The recovery rate of Telangana also improved to 97.86%. However, the fatality rate of COVID-19 was increased to 0.59 % from the previous 0.58 %.
Meanwhile, the Telangana Health Department, after a 4th sero survey, said close to 61.20 % population of Telangana has developed antibodies against the Novel Coronavirus.
