On the 25th of January, after several rounds of counting, the Election Commission (EC,) announced the Telangana Rashtra Samithi’s (TRS) victory.
After a grand victory K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, thanked citizens of Telangana who supported the TRS and voted for their candidates.
TRS President, KCR said people have given the support by voting for development and welfare scheme.
Besides, the Chief Minister also praised the Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs,) Members of the Legislative Council (MLCs,) Members of Parliament (MPs) and TRS workers for working hard and campaigning for victory.
KCR said, “It is our responsibility to keep the promises made to the people.”
The TRS won as many As 1,600 wards of 3,535 wards in urban local bodies which went to polls on January 22.
It also won 6 municipalities out of 9, giving tough fight to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indian National Congress (INC.)
