Nama Nageswara Rao, a Member of Parliament (MP) of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) on the 18th of July, praised the new Municipal Bill presented in the Assembly.

On the 18th of July, K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR,) the Chief Minister of Telangana, introduced the bill to the MPs and Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) and asked them to scrutinise it.

Nama Nageswara Rao said, the Municipal Bill passed by the TRS Government is a role model for the Country and extended his special thanks to KCR.

Nama Nageswara Rao was notified about the Bill over the phone, as he was in Delhi to attend the session of the 17th Lok Sabha. He addressed the media over the phone from Delhi and appreciated the Telangana Government for their step to enhance the existing Municipal Act, 1991.

The State Government is expected to approve the Municipal Bill in today’s Assembly session, with the approval of the MLAs and Cabinet Ministers, following which, the new Municipal Act will be implemented.

The Assembly session is scheduled to begin at 11:00 A.M., on the 19th of July, at the Telangana Assembly, Telangana.

After today’s Assembly session, the TRS Government will adjourn the Assembly session till further notice.
