Y.S. Sharmila, the sister of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, is all set to launch her political party in Telangana.
After several meetings and consultations, Ms. Sharmila would finally announce her Party name on the 9th of April. Ms. Sharmila would announce her party name at a huge public meeting in Khammam on the 9th of April.
In regard to this, Y.S. Sharmila held several rounds of meetings with leaders of Khammam district and is currently holding ‘AthmeeyaSammelanam’ in Telangana.
On the 9th of April, the ‘AthmeeyaSammelanam’ would conclude in Khammam, where Ms. Sharmila would officially announce her Party. Names like YSRTP, YSR PT and Rajanna Rajyam are under consideration, but no name has been decided yet.
Later, on the 14th of May, Ms. Sharmila is also expected to launch her party activities from Lotus Pond.
To launch her Party in Telangana, Y.S. Sharmila has been continuously conducting meetings with senior leaders and her supporters.
On the 2nd of March, Ms. Sharmila is slated to meet leaders from Mahbubnagar district. The meeting would be attended by close to 700 people.
The decision of launching a new Party against the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is being appreciated and criticised in political circles. The TRS, the Indian National Congress (INC) and other parties in Telangana, criticised Ms. Sharmila for the new Party.
However, many leaders from Andhra Pradesh are looking forward to this new party launch.
However, with the sped up work towards a new party launch in Telangana, Ms. Sharmila is also expected to contest the 2023 Assembly elections.
